To obtain Russian entry tourist visa, the following documents should be presented to Russian consulates:

completed application form, one per person (please be advised that TOURISM should be mentioned as purpose of your visit in the application form at the Russian Consulate);
valid national passport, validity exceeding planned date of departure from Russia by 6 months;
2-3 passport-size photographs;
the invitation from an authorised Russian agent (visa support) which consists of:

- Foreign Tourist Reception Confirmation;

- Tourist Voucher.

Important note. The visa fee is paid at Russian consulates. The charge varies according to your home country regulations and to the urgency of visa granting. A Russian entry tourist visa is a passport-size document, which is stamped or inserted into the passport. It contains entry and exit dates, passport number, lists accompanied children and states the visa type. The document gives permission to enter and leave the country. If you lose it or exceed the stay duration you can have difficulties upon departure.

According to the Russian legislation a foreign citizen must be Migratory registered within 24 hours if he/she stays at the hotel in the territory of the Russian Federation. During check-in in the hotel you must submit your passport with the valid visa and your migration card (distributed aboard an aircraft or train or at the passport-control department of the airport or railway station) to the reception. Hotel staff at the reception desk should fill in the form of “Notice of arrival of a foreign citizen at the place of residence” according to your documents and carry out the whole procedure of your Migratory registration without your participation. The tear-off card (copy or original) of the “Notice of arrival of a foreign citizen at the place of residence” with the stamp of the Local Migration Authority given to you at the reception desk within 24 hours is the evidence of your Migratory Registration. If you receive the original (not copy) of a tear-off card in the hotel you must give it back at the reception when you check out from the hotel.

Reisebuero WELT Company recommendations: make your own copy from the tear-off card of the “Notice of arrival of a foreign citizen at the place of residence” and keep it with your passport all the time during your stay in Russia.

The term of the tourist visa may be extended (a new entry visa may be granted) subject only to force majeure circumstances, as well as in cases of:

a Guest’s intransportability supported with respective documents in the stipulated form, these documents issued by the medical institution;
impossibility for the Guest to depart from the territory of the RF within the stipulated time limit in case of a flight delay or cancellation.

Only your authorised Russian agent can be engaged in the difficult procedure of visa prolongation.

Important note. Please keep in mind that an authorised Russian agent does not issue visas by itself. Russian visas are issued by Russian consulates in your home country, based on an invitation from an authorised Russian agent. Reisebuero WELT Company is officially registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) as a legal entity able to grant visa support. The company is empowered to engage in providing an invitation (Foreign Tourist Reception Confirmation and Tourist Voucher), which should be presented to Russian consulates in order to obtain a Russian tourist visa. The company provides tourist visa support documents free of charge. Visa support is granted only if the hotel where the guests will be staying has a passport office and provides Migratory registration of guests.

Visa support is granted to cover the itinerary of Guest’s stay in the territory of the Russian Federation but no longer than for the duration of the stay at hotels and travel in the territory of the Russian Federation confirmed by travel papers on condition of 100% prepayment accommodation in the hotels, booked in the territory of the Russian Federation in accordance with the program. If hotel accommodation is not booked through Reisebuero WELT, tourist visa support is not provided

To receive visa support for obtaining a Russian entry tourist visa the following information must be forwarded to Reisebuero WELT Company:

the travel route (the cities and towns to be visited);
the hotel name in each city and town;
the dates of arrival and departure;
a readily legible photocopy of the passport;
guarantee of payment for the services ordered.

Reisebuero WELT Company has the right to refuse visa support without any explanation.
