| Day 1 Arrival to Moscow. Transfer to the Hotel. Day 2 City tour Tretyakov Art Gallery The State Tretyakov Gallery is a museum of world significance, with collections running into many thousands of works of art, from Old Russia icons to contemporary paintings. The collection of the Tretyakov brothers was opened to the public as a private museum in 1874 and it immediately became widely popular. Day 3 Moscow Kremlin, including visiting 5 Cathedrals and the Assumption Belfry The Moscow Kremlin is one of the largest architectural ensembles in the world. It is home to the Moscow Kremlin State Museum of History and Culture. The first Kremlin walls were built in the mid-12th century. Two hundred years later, Moscow became the capital of a small princedom and since that time, the Kremlin has been the residence of Russia’s rulers. Day 4 Pushkin Museum The museum's permanent display includes three main sections - classics of Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Italy and the Northern Black Sea Coast; famous works of sculpture from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance; and works of West European painting and sculpture from the Middle Ages to the present time. Day 5 Novodevichy Convent The Novodevichy Convent has been beautifying Moscow for more than 400 years. Over all these years, the nunnery was often the venue of many dramatic historic events. The architectural ensemble of the nunnery was completed at the end of the 17th century and to this day remains the finest in Russia. Metro tour Moscow metro (more than 150 stations) is the most beautiful in the world, the main kind of municipal transport in city. Some stations with fantastic rich design (decoration with marble, bronze statues, mosaics) look like real underground palaces. Day 6 Sergiev Posad and Holy Trinity - St. Sergius Laura The Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Laura (the Greek word “laura” means monastery) houses a seminary, a museum of history, and guards many famous icons, monuments of antiquity and a huge library of religious literature. A whole-day excursion to Sergiev Posad features a tour round the town, Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Laura, the Laura treasury Riznitsa, and lunch in the restaurant Risky Dvorik, Russian style. Day 7 Departure for the home country. At will of the Guest the schedule of excursions and their content may vary. The Guests may also book tickets to the Bolshoi theatre, Moscow circus. In summer a sail sing on a river tram is available. |
