The 14th international art festival named “Art-November” will take place both in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. This year the festival is devoted to the creative work of the founder of the festival Alexey Komech. He was the ideologist of the “Art-November” festival, an outstanding architect and an art critic, also he was the head of the State Institute of Arts since 1994.
Komech planned to organize a “holiday of arts”. Appeared as a music festival, the “Art-November” grew up into a large-scale cross-cultural event.
This year the festival starts with an exhibition of unique architectural photos taken by Komech in ancient Russian and European cities. The program includes also concerts of the best Russian and foreign musicians, operas and dramatic performances, poetic evenings, exhibitions of modern graphic artists and painters.
In the context of the festival the collection of paintings and sculptural works of the eminent French artist Jacomo de Passa will be exhibited. The most interesting participants of the festival are Stella Shalumova and Pavel Nikiforov. The latter is the brightest representative of Moscow underground style.
The guests of the Golden Apple Hotel that is situated quite next to the State Institute of Arts are in the epicenter of the event.
