The Pushkin State Museum of Arts (Moscow) is going to open the exhibition "Rembrandt, his forerunners and followers" on September 11th.
The exposition dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the artist's birthday includes paintings drawings and etchings of the museums of Russia, the USA and France.
The exhibition is supposed to highlight the evolution of Rembrandt's art, his creative relations with predecessors, older contemporaries, and his numerous followers. The visitors will see Rembrandt's works of various genres and periods, along with works by Pieter Lastman, Nicolaus Knupfer, Jacob Backer, and other famous artists from the museum collection.
The exhibition's finishing date is not known yet.
