On May 27, on the City Day, marine theatricals with the motto “Russia is spreading a sail!” will take place in Saint-Petersburg. Seats for spectators will be placed right on the river Neva. The tickets to river motorships, which will cruise along Neva at that day, will also be available for everybody.
The holiday’s scenario will reconstruct some historic events of Saint-Petersburg – highjacking of Swedish ships and meeting of a new Baltic fleet in 1703. The spectators will also see a parade of fast-speed motor boats and a show of paraplanes. The highlight of the performance will be the launching of a new sailboat, which was built in a training workshop of Central yacht club.
At the end of the holiday a floating fountain will be open on the Spit of Vasilievskiy island. Then the citizens of Saint Petersburg will see fireworks.
