The press-service of the airport Domodedovo has reported about the opening of a new 3 thousand metres landing zone. It is planned that in 10 years Domodedovo will serve up to 24-28 million passengers annually, moreover, by the year 2020 the number of annual passengers is expected to exceed 30 million people.
The works over expanding the airport's territory have been led in the framework of realization of international development due to the increased passenger channel, which has grown up to 9.4% in comparison with 2005. The number of investments to the airport complex in 2006 is estimated at 180 million dollars.
