The building of the new five-star Hyatt hotel in the Yekaterinburg downtown will be finished by May 9, said Andrey Soldatov, deputy director-general of the Verkh-Isetskaya investment company. The project of the hotel was designed by the French architect bureau Valode & Pistre. Hyatt will be part of the architectural ensemble of «Yekaterinburg-city», business area in the centre of Yekaterinburg embracing some 400,000 sq.m. of offices, hotels, commercial and trade spaces, entertainment centres, restaurants and cafes. The hotel complex will occupy a 20-storey building, with the total area amounting 44,500 sq.m. (underground car park of 6,000 sq.m. included). The room fund of the hotel will aggregate 200 rooms, also featuring Presidential Apartments. Apart from that, the hotel’s infrastructure will comprise 2 restaurants, 5 bars, a business-centre, several rooms for negotiations, a festivity hall, spa-clubs, a swimming-pool and a fitness-centre. The building of the Hyatt hotel is a collaboration of The Ural mining and smelting company, the Bouygues company (France), the Paris-based Valode and Pistre architect office and the Verkh-Isetskaya investment and construction company. The total cost of the Hyatt hotel’s construction exceeds $107 000 000.
