There is a plan to lay a second ring line in the Moscow metro network, the head of the city's subway, Dmitry Gayev, announced on Wednesday. Technical documents on the planned line will be submitted for expert scrutiny in 2007 and by the end of that year the Russian capital's administration will set the date for a start to construction of the line, Gayev told a news conference at Interfax headquarters in Moscow. He said the first section of the line would be 12 kilometers long and take three to three-and-a-half years to build. |
