An underground museum will be open in Moscow, in a declassified dedicated facility. Beginning with the end of May “Alternate Command Post “Taganskiy” will be open for visitors. The museum represents a room, disposed at a depth of 60 meters below the surface. Among the exhibits the visitors will see old communications facilities – telephones, telegraphs, etc., and also arms and military uniform.
Visitors of the museum will be able not only to see the things, which previously were available merely for several secret militaries, but also to handle them, to try on uniform and to drink tea from an old samovar.
In the 50th here was a secret underground telegraph at the Ministry of Communications. Only healthy strong men could work here, only those, who could physically stay in the underground room for a long time. But psychologically this kind of work was very hard.
