The First International Summit of first-rate advertising agencies from the whole world opened in Moscow. It will be held on the initiative of the government of Moscow and with the support of the International Advertising Association. According to the chairman of the Committee of advertising, information and registration of Moscow Vladimir Makarov, the most renowned representatives of the world of publicity will visit the forum – the executive director of the International Advertising Association Michael Lee, president and publisher of the industrial Web portal Ad Forum Herve de Clerck, the head of the publishing holding company Advertising Age Group etc.
The World Advertising Forum will be open during six days under the chairmanship of the mayor of Moscow Jury Luzhkov who will inaugurate it on September 12 in the building of the Moscow city hall in New Arbat not far from the Mir Hotel. Besides, round-table discussions, creative meetings, conferences and seminars will be held in the Oktyabr cinema and concert hall concerning social advertising, corporative design, tendencies in development of the Russian advertising market, animation in publicity and many other topics. An exhibition of the Russian advertising industry will take place at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Center from September 12 till September 14, and an exhibition of posters and books on the history of publicity in Russia from the library stock will take place in the Russian State Library. The 17th Moscow International Advertising Festival will be held in the framework of the forum. Its program will include lections and master classes of world-famous stars of the advertising industry, and exhibition of creative works and the Red Apple competitive program.
