The international hotel operator Rezidor Hotel Group has set its mind to opening a hotel in the largest industrial centre of Southern Urals in the first quarter of 2010. Radisson will be the first hotel in Chelyabinsk managed by this renowned operating company. The hotel will be located in the central part of the city, in the Gagarin park, not far from the central stadium. At the moment, the district is undergoing considerable reconstruction and renovation aimed at turning it into one of the most prestigious parts of the city.
The room fund of the hotel will comprise 188 spacious guest deluxe suites. Apart from that, the hotel will dispose two restaurants, a large banquet hall, several conference halls and rooms for negotiations, as well as a fitness club with an indoor pool.
The Radisson hotel in Chelyabinsk is the twentieth project of the Rezidor Hotel Group company in Russia. However, the company is not going to content itself with its present achievements, planning to further develop the Russian market which is seen as very promising and prospective. The role of the project’s developer and builder will be performed by one of the key players of the Southern Urals developer market – the Rodnik company, which joined the project two years ago at the stage of forming the concept and parameters of the project. As a result, the companies signed an international treaty concerning the hotel’s management in April, 2008.
At present, the Rezidor Hotel Group is considering the opportunity of adding another Chelyabinsk hotel to its already impressive portfolio, this time under the Park Inn brand.
