According to a decree of the First Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Resin, two mountain ski trails are to be constructed during the next two years in the Southern and in the Northeastern Administrative Districts of Moscow. Next year the first order of a sports complex including two mountain ski trails and a children and youth sports school is to be completed in Zapovednaya street in the Northeastern Administrative District. A mountain ski complex construction in Shipilovsky proezd will come to the end in 2009. There will be a trail itself, a sports school and three ropeways.
Those are not all of the projects of the Moscow administration. An all-season sports and health complex is to be built in Kurkinskoe shosse in the Northwestern Administrative District, and one more mountain ski trail will be equipped near Kamenka village not far from Zelenograd. An all-seasons sports center and a multifunctional sports and leisure center «Losinoostrovsky» will appear in the Northeastern Administrative District of Moscow in flood-lands of the Yauza river.
At the present time two mountain ski trails are open in the south and in the southwest of the capital of Russia. We can also note that the first orders of trails are already completed in Sevastopolsky prospect, on the Sparrow hills and in Novoperedelkino. If you want to ski in the center of Moscow, stay at the Korston Hotel & Casino (Orlyonok) close to the Sparrow hills.
