Moscow authorities approved of the conception to build four new hotels in the outskirts of the city out of details of the Rossiya Hotel that was demolished in 2006-2007. Ground areas for them are already selected. The first hotel will be opened in the northeast of Moscow at the address Anadyrsky proezd, 59; the second one will open in the northern district of the capital in 2nd Karpatskaya street; the third one will be located on the Moscow Ring Road (68th kilometer), in the northwest part of it. That will be modern eight-floor buildings more than 7 thousand square meters of area with parking lots designed for 129 cars. The fourth hotel will be a bit smaller; it will number six floors and 6,5 thousand square meters of area. Its parking place will be designed for 27 vehicles. To all appearance all these hotels will receive the two stars gradation. The Rossiya Hotel was built in 1967 and had been recognized as the largest one in Europe and one of the most popular ones in Russia for many years. Its trump card was its location near Red Square. For almost 40 years it has accommodated more than 11 million people. The hotel’s infrastructure included many restaurants and cafes, a concert hall, which could seat 2500 persons, and the Zaryadye cinema. The hotel was dismantled with great precautions. Concrete blocks that were used for its construction kept safe and remain quite suitable for further use.
