Notwithstanding the fact that Moscow's light system is one of the biggest in the world it was reconstructed last time in the middle of the last century. Concerned with the state of electric lighting local authorities are about to tackle the problem by using new technologies and bringing in more rational light consumption. Some officials are also ready to take into account alternative sources of electric energy, such as photo elements and solar energy.
Moscow is one of the few megapolises without any integrated design of external lighting. Moscow's town-planning committee has three years to work out a concept of the lighting sphere.
