Beginning with June 2, 2007, and all through the summer a special retro-train will ply between Saint Petersburg and Tsarskoye Selo. The train will set off every Saturday from Vitebskiy railway station. The time of departure from Saint Petersburg will be 10:30, and the time of departure from Tsarskoye Selo will be 17:30. Locomotives of the retro-trains were made in the period from 1903 till 1947, and are indeed of historical value.
Everything in these trains will remind of the beginning of the 20th century, including uniform of the service staff.
Specialists of travel business feel certain of the success of the new project. If the project becomes popular, trains like these will be used in other directions as well.
