On December 5 the first performance of the Krasnoyarsk Dance Company of Siberia named after Godenko will take place on the stage of the Kremlin Palace of Congresses. You are already able to buy a ticket for this show in Moscow box offices.
The art director of the ensemble Vitaly Butrimovich prepared the new production under the name “Siberian Expanses”. This choreographic suite does not yield to classical repertoire of Mikhail Godenko in brilliance. It reproduces prowess and ardor of folk dance and includes folklore elements. The subject of the suite is based on traditional occupation of nations that live in the Northern Siberia, in particular the Nenets, the Nganasans, and the Evenks. The dance performance embraces a ritual of shaman’s kamlanie, the traditional Evenk dance “Heiro”, bear hunting, and reindeer driving.
The Krasnoyarsk National Dance Company has been reputed as one of the best ensembles in Russia for almost half a century. Is in very popular both in Russia and abroad. It tours all over the world and thus contributes to molding the image if Russia and introduces foreign people to our many-sided native culture. Every choreographic production of the company represents an original and complete performance. With the advent of the new director the company goes through its new birth.
The premiere of the “Siberian Expanses” took place in Krasnoyarsk. Now all inhabitants of Moscow and all guests of its hotels will be able to see it.
