The Bristol-Zhiguli Hotel is one of the oldest and the most significant hotels in Samara. Suffice it to mention that the hotel was opened in 1897, and in 1909 the great Russian bass singer Fedor Shalyapin was accommodated here (nowadays one of the hotel’s suites bears his name). The Bristol-Zhiguli doesn’t disregard its rich hospitality traditions and yet it actively develops. For example, in accordance with modern tendencies all guest rooms are supplied with satellite television, air conditioning, a telephone, a minibar, and all bathrooms have a hair-drier and other necessary amenities. A DVD-player, a bathrobe and slippers are offered to the guests of the Shalyapin Suite. Owing to convenient location of the hotel every guest may visit neighbor shops, restaurants, beauty salons, currency exchange offices, theaters and cinemas, walk along the Volga river embankment. You can also have a meal at the hotel itself; there is a hall for 45 persons that is open 24 hours a day. The conference hall of the hotel is designed for 30-50 persons.
