The Medea is a small hotel in the very center of Moscow surrounded with historical monuments, churches, museums and theaters. The Tretyakov Art Gallery, for example, is located within several minutes of walking distance from the hotel. The Medea Hotel is situated in the historical district of Zamoskvorechye, and you won’t need to waste much time to get to exhibition and business centers, shops and restaurants. The hotel occupies the building, which was constructed in 1860 as a merchant’s residence and restored in 2005. It perfectly reproduces the atmosphere of this part of Moscow. The fourth floor, a mansard, was overbuilt; an elevator, modern security and life support facilities were installed. Elegant interiors of the rooms and halls are designed in the art nouveau style, and furniture was made in Italy of rich woods.
