The three-star Baykal hotel is located in the neighbourhood of the Botanicheskiy Sad metro station, not far from the All-Russian Exhibition Centre, the Museum of Cosmonautics, Ostankino television tower, Sheremetev Museum-Estate, Main Botanical Garden (Russian Academy of Science). The Sheremetyevo-2 airport is just a 30 minute ride away from the hotel. Businessmen will certainly estimate the hotel’s proximity to main exhibition centres: VVTs (5 minutes’ walk away), Manezh (25 minutes), Sokolniki (20 minutes) and Expocentr (40 minutes). In 2008 the hotel underwent reconstruction and modernization. The impressive room fond of the hotel encompasses 355 guest rooms and suites belonging to different categories – from Single Isolated Room to Junior Suite. The rooms’ equipment includes: a bathtub/shower cabin, a fridge, TV (cable channels provided), telephone (chargeable) and fire prevention system. Some rooms are additionally equipped with a Jacuzzi. The 2nd floor of the hotel houses a restaurant (seats 50-60 people), with the menu including European specialties, while the two cafes on the first floor offer a pastime over a cup of coffee or tea. Any business meeting can be successfully carried out in a conference-hall (accommodates 20-25 people). At your disposal is also the hotel’s modern business centre providing a wide range of business services. Moreover, the hotel offers some extra leisure facilities, namely, a sauna and a hair-dresser’s. The hotel’s infrastructure also includes a currency exchange point, a luggage office and a car park.
